Pursuant to the Hon'ble Supreme Court direction in WP(s) (Civil) No(s) 267/2017 Dar-Us-Slam Education Trust & Ors V/s MCI and Others dated 9/5/2017, the admission to MBBS/BDS in constituent colleges of deemed Universities will be done by DGHS (Director General of Health Services, Govt of India ). Hence all the All the desirous candidates willing to take admission in constituent colleges of Sri Siddhartha Medical College & Sri Siddhartha Dental College, are requested to visit the website of Director General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family welfare Govt of India i.e. www.mcc.nic.in. The desirous candidates are requested visit aforementioned website regularly for notice, registration./application process, counseling process as regards to admission process of MBBS/BDS. Nature of deemed universities is All India, hence all Indian national who fulfils eligibility criteria are eligible to participate in this process.
Eligibility Criteria
Under Graduate Courses:
For admission to MBBS:
he candidate should have passed in the second year Pre-University or 12th standard or HSC or Equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry & Biology in respect of Medical and Dental courses as optional subjects and English as one of the language. It is mandatory, that the candidate has obtained not less than 50% of the aggregate marks or equivalent grade in the optional subjects is eligible for admission. 40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category for Medical course.
He / She shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year for Admission to MBBS Course.
(As declared by the MCI from time to time) He/She should qualify NEET UG Examination.
Post graduate course:
The University is conforming to the relevant regulations/ norms of the UGC and other statutory bodies concerned. Admissions will be made on All India basis to the identical courses through a common entrance test conducted by the University. All India Entrance Test at various centers all over the country for admission to all discipline of the University. The Candidates will be admitted to various courses on the basis of merit in the entrance test. Students seeking admission should have valid entrance scores. Allotment of the course (For PG Courses) will be done by Centralized admission policy of the University.
Following are the minimum requirements for admission to Medical and PG courses:
- The candidate should have studied and passed the courses leading to the award of MBBSS Degrees in colleges recognized by National Medical Commission.
- The candidate should have completed compulsory rotating internship.
- He/She should qualify NEET PG Examination.
Allied Health Science Program :
1. Eligibility for admission:
A candidate seeking admission to the BSc. Paramedical courses shall have
studied English as one of the principal subject during the tenure of the course
and shall have passed:
Two year Pre-University examination or SSC equivalent with, Physics,
Chemistry and Biology as subjects of study.
OR
Pre-Degree course from a recognized University considered as
equivalent by SSAHE, (Two years after ten years of schooling) with
Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects of study.
OR
Any equivalent examination recognized by the SSAHE for the above
purpose with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects of study.
OR
The vocational higher secondary education course conducted by
Vocational Higher Secondary Education, Government of Kerala with five
subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in addition to
vocational subjects conducted is considered equivalent to plus TWO
examinations of Government of Karnataka Pre University Course.
OR
Candidates with two years diploma from a recognized Government
Board shall have passed class 12 [10+2] with Physics, Chemistry and
Biology, as subjects or candidates with 3 years diploma from a
recognized Government Board should have studied Physics, Biology and
Chemistry as subjects during the tenure of the course.
Lateral entry to second year of B.Sc. Paramedical course for candidates
who have passed diploma program from the Government Boards and
recognized by SSAHE, and these students are eligible to take admission
on lateral entry system only in the same subject studied at diploma
level.
Note:
The candidate shall have passed individually in each of the principal
subjects and
Candidates who have completed diploma or vocational course through
Correspondence shall not be eligible for B.Sc Paramedical Course.
2. Duration of the course:
Duration shall be for a period of four years including one year of Internship
and duration for lateral entry students is three years including one year
Internship.
3. Medium of instruction:
The medium of instruction and examination shall be in English.
4. Scheme of examination:
There shall be three examinations one each at the end of 1st, 2nd and 3rd year.
